Canada announce squad for T20 World Cup 2024, and Saad Bin Zafar will be the captain.
This is the first time Canada is playing in the T20 World Cup. They’re in Group A with teams like USA, India, Pakistan, and Ireland. Saad, who’s known for his left-arm spin, will lead the team with his experience.
Most of the players in the squad have a lot of experience. Players like Aaron Johnson and Kaleem Sana are skilled and have been playing for a while. Only four players in the team are younger than 30, but they’re still expected to play important roles.
Canada’s first match will be against the USA in Dallas on June 1st.
The coach of the team is Pubudu Dassanayake. He’s a former player from Sri Lanka and Canada and started coaching the team in 2022.
