MCG will host a women’s Test match for the first time

The Women’s Ashes 2025 series between Australia and England is set to be an exciting cricket event with several first-time features.

For the first time, the Women’s Ashes will be held in a different season than the men’s series. Additionally, the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) will host a women’s Test match for the first time since 1949, and it will be a day/night match.

When is the Women’s Ashes 2025 series?
The series will take place in Australia from January 12 to January 30, 2025. During these 18 days, Australia and England will compete in one day/night Test match, three One Day Internationals (ODIs), and three Twenty20 (T20) matches.

ODIs:

  • Jan 12: Australia vs. England at North Sydney Oval, Sydney
  • Jan 14: Australia vs. England at Citipower Centre, Melbourne
  • Jan 17: Australia vs. England at Bellerive Oval, Hobart

T20s:

  • Jan 20: Australia vs. England at SCG, Sydney
  • Jan 23: Australia vs. England at Manuka Oval, Canberra
  • Jan 25: Australia vs. England at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide

Test (day/night):

  • Jan 30-Feb 2: Australia vs. England at MCG, Melbourne
